In the event of accident in the workplace or the route to and from it, we guarantee the payment of compensations defined by law for the recovery of the insured person (medical assistance, cirirgical, pharmaceutical and hospital) or funeral expenses.
Calculation of premium and compensation
Employees' salary can not be less than the minimum wage (salário mínimo nacional), even if working part-time (hourly, daily or weekly).
The insured salary and compensation is calculated based on the annual insured salary (Retribuição Anual Segura - RAS) of the employee, including non-monetary compensation, food or housing.
The calculation of the RAS is the following:
- Full-time employee RAS = monthly salary x 14
- Part-time employee RAS = hourly salary x # of hours per week x 52 weeks x 14/12
